MBMG goes to the 9th International Barcode of Life Conference
The 9th International Barcode of Life (iBOL) conference will take place on September 3rd to 6th, 2024, in Belém, Brazil. Hosted by the iBOL Consortium in collaboration with the Vale Institute of Technology, the iBOL conference is a key event to discuss developments in barcoding and DNA-based biodiversity data.
This year’s conference, under the theme “Amazon homecoming: connecting people, barcodes, and biodiversity,” will feature a diverse program.
Paul Hebert, chief executive officer of the International Barcode of Life consortium and chair of the advisory board of Pensoft’s journal Metabarcoding and Metagenomics, will be one of the key plenary speakers, with a keynote speech on Tuesday, September 3rd at 2 PM.
Metabarcoding and Metagenomics (MBMG) is proud to be a sponsor of the conference. In support of the next generation of scientists, MBMG will also be sponsoring an Best Early Career Researcher Talk award and grant a free publication in the journal to one young researcher with outstanding contributions in the field of DNA barcoding and biodiversity genomics.
