Metabarcoding and Metagenomics inaugurates Editor’s Choice award to recognise outstanding research

12 January 2024

This year, the Metabarcoding and Metagenomics journal, has decided to recognise the most outstanding contribution to our journal made in 2023.The selection was made by our Chief editors, who chose Pollen metabarcoding of museum specimens and recently collected bumblebees (Bombus) indicates foraging shifts.

The paper addresses the hot topic of pollinator decline: using pollen metabarcoding, the research team analyzed historical and recent bee specimens, revealing significant shifts in foraging patterns.

The lead author of the study, Andreas Kolter, will be granted a voucher for a free publication in MBMG.

We are looking forward to receiving more exciting contributions to MBMG and take a moment to thank all our authors, editors, and reviewers for being part of our team.
