A triad of methods (kicknet sampling, eDNA sampling, and statistical modelling) available to estimate macroinvertebrate diversity in river ecosystems. Each has its own specificities, particularly in terms of integrated spatial scale. Note that models always rely on underlying data used to train them; in this study those are independent kick-net samples.
